Much of the work being shown at the Gallery at the end of the lane in September was produced at Abberbach, Pembrokeshire, in April 2013, but like most great trips ‘abroad’ you bring much back with you.  Since then I have continued to work with found objects brought home, using them as vessels to hold and make private again the words of kindness expressed between friends in letters uncovered at Abberbach.  In this latest work ribbon found at Abbercastle becomes a carrier for letter-aids, words of kindness having the potential to provide relief from pain.
